Physical Description:
Her back is a dark gray, that fades to white on her under belly face and neck. She has a dolphin tail, complete with dorsal fin and pectoral flippers. Phina has a face that is considered beautiful by most, with full lips, petite nose and long, thick black lashes over her intelligent black eyes. Her hair is long (reaching to the tips of her tail), wavy and and pale gray that looks more white than grey. It's littered with streaks of silver and grey so dark it looks black. Finally, she is 8 feet long, the average for her species, and wears a thick strip of seaweed across her bust. The seaweed is tied behind her back, leaving to strips floating along behind her. For important ceremonies she wears jewelry and more decoration, but she prefers not to wear such items.
Personality:
Being the oldest of three sisters, Phina has always been very responsible and mindful of the fact that what she does affects others. As a result, she usually strives to put her friends, family, and ultimately her clan before herself. Sometimes she overdoes it though, and doesn't leave enough time for herself, which leaves her tired and hungry. She really needs to find a good balance of herself and other.
Phina has a clear and melodic voice. She's charming and persuasive and can cast almost anyone under her spell. Being the leader of her clan, she uses her abilities to help her clan as best she can. Phina's also found a love of singing and enjoys entertaining others with her new found skill.
Lastly, she is stubborn as all get out. Phina doesn't back down from anything until she is truly defeated, and she will stubbornly insist on helping anyone she thinks is in need. Her biggest weakness though is that she stubbornly thinks she can fix every single one of the problems her people come to her with, even if it's beyond her ability.
History:
Phina was born the first daughter of Nymphana and Soulsun Jupiten Ocarina, and raised knowing one day she would be the leader of her beloved clan. She was taught by her mother the things all mermaids should know, and her father and his adviser taught her all she needed to know to lead her people. In her spare time she enjoyed going hunting with her dolphins, Dextrius and Dameen, and spending time with her sisters. Her favorite activity however, was going out to see her people, she loved meeting them and getting to know them, and vowed to one day be a just and fair leader.
Finally, her Twentieth birthday came and seven days later she was named the new leader of the Bottlenose clan. She was excited to begin, but soon found just how hard her job was. However, she quickly got into the rhythm of things and now happily leads her people as best she can. Now, a new and frightening obstacle is presenting herself, as her people expect her to marry and her father searches for a suitable merman to become her mate. At the same time, she must deal with opposition from other clans, and present the needs of the clan to the Leader of the Dolphin Kingdom. What ever is a mermaid to do?
